Strategic Training Summit for Sabbath School Department Leaders Across the Southern Africa Region

Training for Sabbath School Department leaders

Centurion, South Africa

The Southern Africa–Indian Ocean Division invites Sabbath School department leaders from across the region to participate in a focused leadership training designed to strengthen discipleship, Bible study engagement, and mission outreach within local churches.

This three-day training summit will provide practical tools, spiritual encouragement, and strategic insights for those responsible for guiding Sabbath School ministries in their conferences, missions, and local congregations. Participants will explore new ways to inspire members to actively participate in Bible study, small group discussions, and mission-driven Sabbath School activities.

Throughout the training, experienced facilitators and ministry leaders will present sessions on effective teaching methods, leadership development, and creative approaches to Sabbath School programming. Workshops will also address challenges commonly faced by Sabbath School leaders and provide practical solutions that can be adapted to diverse cultural and congregational settings across the division.

In addition to instructional sessions, the event will create space for collaboration and dialogue among leaders from different territories. Participants will share successful initiatives, exchange ideas, and develop strategies that strengthen Sabbath School as a vibrant center of spiritual growth and community connection.

Special emphasis will be placed on nurturing Bible-centered discussion, increasing member participation, and aligning Sabbath School programs with the broader mission of the church. Leaders will also explore ways to integrate outreach and service opportunities that allow Sabbath School classes to become active centers of ministry within their communities.

This training aims to equip leaders with renewed vision, practical resources, and a deeper commitment to guiding members into meaningful study of Scripture and active discipleship.
