Health Ministry Advisory for Health Directors and Leaders
Advisory for leaders in the division health departments
Centurion, South Africa
Health ministry plays a vital role in the mission of the church, connecting communities with practical expressions of compassion, prevention, and whole-person care. This Strategic Health Ministry Leadership Advisory brings together health directors, departmental leaders, and key coordinators from across the Southern Africa–Indian Ocean Division to strengthen collaboration and planning for the coming years.
During this three-day advisory, participants will explore emerging health challenges in the region and examine ways the church can respond with relevant, faith-based health initiatives. Sessions will focus on lifestyle medicine, community outreach strategies, public health partnerships, and practical approaches to promoting physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.
Leaders will also review current division-wide health programs and discuss opportunities to expand their reach through local churches, schools, and medical institutions. Workshops will provide space for strategic planning, evaluation of past initiatives, and development of new projects designed to serve communities more effectively.
Another key focus of the advisory will be equipping leaders with tools to train church members as health ambassadors. By strengthening grassroots health ministries, the church aims to foster healthier communities while sharing a message of hope and restoration.
Participants will have opportunities for networking, collaboration, and prayer as they seek God's guidance for the future of health ministry across the division. Through shared experience and collective vision, this gathering will help shape initiatives that encourage healthier lifestyles and deeper engagement with community needs.
